Amelia established Dramatize in 2011. Along with running her own classes, she has worked with various home education groups throughout Auckland, offering her services as both a tutor and director, running intensives and presenting productions such as; Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella and Hamlet. Amelia has also worked as a director and specialist tutor in devising, working with both children and adults to create original performance works.
Amelia trained with The Children's Performing Company Of Australia (Now known as The Stage School Of Australia) in Melbourne from 2008-2010. Performing in multiple productions a year. After moving to Auckland Amelia trained with AYA drama school for two years, and participated in their 2013 acting for screen workshop. As well as being cast in the 2013 devised production the Carne-Val directed by Julia Croft.
In 2015 Amelia graduated from Excel School Of Performing Arts with a Certificate in Drama and The Wilson Cup for Transformation Through Drama. Throughout her studies Amelia had the opportunity to perform iconic New Zealand works including; Oscar Kightly's Fresh Off The Boat, Toa Fraser's Bare and Bruce Masons's The Pohutukawa Tree. Along with rigorous training in devised work, screen acting and physical theatre. Throughout her training Amelia has participated in various specialised workshops, in auditioning, acting for screen and devised theatre. Along with experience auditioning professionally in the New Zealand industry.
With a desire to continue to develop her knowledge in screenwriting and directing, Amelia is currently pursing further study and Unitec Institute Of Technology in Performing and Screen Arts.
