At Dramatize we prioritise small classes in order to provide individualised training and attention to every student. Each term has a particular focus, to build skill and confidence in a broad range of performance aspects. A large emphasis is placed on creating a safe, encouraging and judgment-free environment to allow students to explore their creativity.
Uniquely, Dramatize offers opportunities for young actors to creatively influence with their own ideas, writing, and talents. While giving them the chance to perform what has been created. Whether a self-devised work or a script that has been written with their influence. Dramatize challenges it's students to be creators, and in a small industry like New Zealand, this is a vital skill. Whatever they decide to pursue in life.
"Mykayla absolutely loves coming to class. I want to thank you so much, I have seen such a change in her confidence. She was even so brave enough to do the school news with a friend - filmed & them screened to the whole school in partly Samoan for the Samoan language week. She would never have done this a few months ago!!"
- Olivia, Mother of Dramatize student
